Chakravyuh....Is anyone really knows to come out ?

It's long since I wrote something on my blog. I created the blog to write something which is positive ,which may be useful to the reader and which flows spontaneously from my heart.. Days have passed since then and I have not written anything..A very dear senior friend asked 'you were writing good things,why are you not continuing?' I replied  'when the thoughts came, probably  I was busy doing some work,serving someone or when I had little time my thoughts were not flowing to be organized and productive,so never forced myself to write something just for the sake of writing.Will surely continue to write till death meets me as there lies my heart and soul...But want to write something which touches me/my life and flows from the heart and dedicated for the common good...Otherwise there is no dearth of write ups...' If one only reads from birth to death he/she even can't  claim  touching the tip of iceberg of knowledge preserved in scholarly books and articles written over ages...

                 Yesterday evening I went with my children to watch the play 'CHAKRAVYUH" by Nitish Bharadwaj if anyone has forgotten him ,He is the living legend depicting the Mahanayak Krishna in B.R.Chopra's MAHABHARAT. Everyday of my life when I have closed my eyes to know the difference between right and wrong ,justice and injustice,Mahabharat has come to my view and I see Krishna standing tall over ages and ages with his justice,love for humanity,his indomitable smile ,his calm and intelligence and Nitish Bharadwaj stands infront of me reciting Gita in his lovely voice..It was a dream come true to meet and interact with him and see him teaching us the eternal values through the play...
                           The play is about the 13th day of Mahabharat war when Abhimananyu fights alone valiantly with the 7 great warriors and becomes immortal for ages and ages..The story is not this,this is just the back drop.The messages are many for each of us which were eternal then,now and will be forever.That's the reason I want to narrate few of them so my friends and readers may benefit from them..When a soldier sees Krishna moving alone on 12th day war night he comes,salutes and wishes that the war ends and he could give the sword to his son as a dutiful father.Lord Krishna smiles and advises him to take a standing horse and give the sword to the son and be back to the battle field before the dawn.The moral is every father and mother need to give right education ,true potentiality to their children which Dhritarastra didn't do and it resulted in Mahabharat battle wiping the civilization.Then Yudhisthir comes and informs Bhishma about Abhimanyu's Chakravyuh episode and Bhishma in great pain asks him 'As a king and father why he allowed Abhimanyuto to go in the Chakravyuh and could not protect him and why Abhimanyu only was chosen when so many others were there?'Yudhisthir calmly replies 'If man knows what is going to happen next he wouldn't be man but would be God and if he could have prevented this, he could have prevented many more things.All those innocent soldiers dying everyday fighting for the king is never raising  ripples ,then why the death of Arjun's son?Could he prevent any of them from dying and are not they sons of some Arjun?'A point worthy and to be pondered over.Then comes Arjun searching his son and asking Yudhisthir about Abhimanyu 'why is he not being seen?' .Yudhisthir pained and devastated could not found words to answer and looked up to Keshav for help to answer Arjun.The great Madhusudan replies"Rajan,you can't escape questions in life,you as a king has responsibility to answer and have to answer not only to Arjun but to others also.'Lesson is -each one has a part to play,we can't expect anyone else to fill the blanks.Then comes devastated newly married young Uttara asking about Abhimanyu and what next in her life after losing him?Krishna in His all encompassing Divine character explains her 'My dear daughter,each one has a fixed time to come and go from the mortal world and play his/her role.You be proud to be widow of Abhimanyu as he lived through his death,his valiant karma and became immortal.Death comes to all but how many become immortal.He again says 'you are carrying Abhimanyu's part inside you and don't worry for his upbringing as in coming time mothers will be the care taker of the generations to come as each male or female carries both purush and nari ansh.".Even mother Kunti brought her children up so well that they became the best human beings apart from great warriors and see king Dhritarashtra being there for his children in and out but could not teach them anything right.'A father's character and righteousness is far important than his presence'.Then comes Draupadi  asking ' why they sent Abhimanyu instead of her sons as this war is happening because of her insult?'Vasudev explains 'Sakhee,don't be impatient,don't run ahead of TIME,you will also get your share of pride to be the mother of valiant sons.Abhimanyu was here for a reason,so don't jump to conclusions preposterously.' Again an invaluable lesson 'Time knows the best,believe and wait" for all of us.Then Arjun,the father , with anger and loss takes another oath to kill Jayadrath before next sunset or immolate himself.Krishna smiles and wonders 'what a great disease in Kuru dynasty; everyone is madly attached to oaths: may it be Pitamah Bhishma, Panchali, Bheem, Arjun  and so great minds don't even realize their oaths are obstacles in the path of common good and innocent people suffer because of their mad love for oath..Those are also a kind of Maya indeed ! Whatever is not for truth and justice will have no value in time.Then comes Yudhisthir, depressed and saddened saying all his life he will be hounded by the question "why did I send Abhimanyu into the Chakravyuh and he could not come out".Keshav replies "Rajan,are you not in Chakravyuh?Starting from the game of Dice you have entered one after another Chakravyuh and could you come out?Like Abhimanyu we all humans including Krishna,myself when born on this Earth are in Chakravyuh.Our only role is to follow the path of Karma and rest is unseen.So,don't be in delusion for Abhimanyu.He did his bit and became immortal.' And the most important poignant point by the narrator was 'are Mahabharat and Ramayan type epics someone's imagination and are not relevant in today's world ?The answer in Shrikrishna's voice was "It is not important who survived the war or who died or whether it's history,story or mythology.But the bottom line is that the path of justice and truth will always win and if we forget these epics who will differentiate right from wrong for us?The question of right and wrong,truth vs untruth,justice vs injustice is as relevant today as it was in Mahabharat and Ramayan ages!" So long live Truth,long live justice and Eternal Peace on Earth...

'karmanye badhika rasta,ma faleshu kadachanah' ...

Today I am as happy and proud as any other fellow Indian as Mr. Kailash Satyarthy bags his well deserved honor -2014 Nobel Prize for Peace ! He has made the country proud no doubt as any other Nobel laureate but the important point is, I hope he inspires thousands of young human minds to carry on his noble work for the deprived section of human race till his dream is a reality ! That will be true salutation to his indomitable spirit ! Mr.Satyarthy's journey and perseverance for 4 decades is immensely adorable even though to be frank I am sure most of the Indians like me knew nothing about his exemplary work till the news broke out ,thanks to the media partners who don't stop a minute in 24 hrs to discuss frivolous issues and characters ! He and Malala are rightly chosen to be the joint Nobel Peace awardee as both of them have shown exemplary courage,conviction,perseverance,vision and have carried death on their shoulders and walked fearlessly on the path of righteousness !

                In my small little mind I think certainly Nobel Peace Prize has become more relevant by being awarded to Mr. Satyarthy and Malala as it depicts the success of the cause they are relentlessly fighting for and the children who have seen the ray of hope because of their courage and compassion.Nobel Prize for their work will  certainly be an inspiration for the rest of the world to recognize,adore and follow their path.But for them what really matters  is their courage and conviction which are their divine blessings! Such people in whose thought humanity is nourished and civilizations are cradled are  way above any recognition ! They live and die for the cause they profoundly believe in and work for a cause , not for applause...For them 'Karmanye badhika rasta,ma faleshu kadachanah'...Let's keep their midnight candle burning by following them which they have lit in spite of deep darkness all around...Long live Mr.Satyarthy ,long live Malala , Long live Humanity...

let 'time'decide!

Very often we are eager to put our thoughts and comments in public forum without thinking how it churns the the volatile public mind,eye and impression.Even if not for the public it is at least for the " time" to which we as responsible individuals must pay attention to! So,in small little mind of mine i think silence in mind and public life is as important for looking inside as putting our clear views in public.Silently progressing ahead,keeping calm,having complete faith in truth and having no discrepancy whatsoever between our thoughts,action and beliefs will surely lead to succeess! If we have made ourselves aware,that is also a big success.Success should not be defined by money,power,position or so called achievements seen by others.Let's have peace,give space to others as they also are as important as we are and have faith on 'time' to take the final call on anything...

let's practice compassion...

One thing I have closely observed, people always believe in, expect and use a different yardstick for themselves and for others! In my view we human beings are just a part of each other and need to be treated and judged alike, if done will solve lot of self created problems in the world! It reminds me of a story read years back! "An employee in a construction company was retiring and his boss requested him to build one more houses. Not being in a position to refuse he built the house. On the day of retirement his boss called him and handed over the key of the house as a parting gift and his reply came "sir, if you would have told this house u are going to gift me, I would have built it better" : moral of the story we don't treat others the way we want to be treated! But believe me it is a foolish shortcut, will be dangerous in long run! So, let's see others in the same light as we expect for ourselves, this will not only bring lasting happiness in others, it will bring eternal peace in our lives also.. 'yah Duniya nahin zagir kisi ka, raja ho rank yahan ho sab Hai chaukidar, kuchh to akar Chale gaye, kuchh Jane ko tayaar!' Let's have eternal values and principles in life and follow them till the end!

Think positive, anyway!

What do I mean by this?Am I repeating a proverb or am I saying to avoid reality, the truth behind any situation? No,I am not trying to do any of these! I am not saying to deny the reality,nor I am saying you ,not to feel the pain,the hurt, the defeat, the loss, the tear... If you ever feel such emotions, it's natural, utterly humane! You, me and everyone feel so ...we all do.But what I want to emphasize, if it is there, try your best to change it or move on if any situation is giving negative vibes. Secondly, accept something, some situation as gracefully as possible if you known in core of your heart that you really don't have any control over it.Believe me, your worst situation when accepted with grace can turn to a life changing point! I don't mean,we run away from the reality, feel euphoric, become manic or burst into undue laughter, when we know we can't.If someone tries this it is nothing more than a superfluous drama.What I mean ,a silent moment of surrender, taking charge of the existing problem without indulging in blame game and accepting the cosmic rules will surely do wonders for all! That is positivity! Let's have positivity in our thoughts, words and actions every moment of life.Trying to change a negative situation, accepting the ones that are beyond our control will get us already halfway through.Leaving a failure, a bitter experience behind and moving ahead gives a great learning experience. It is miraculous, I have felt it.Try out and judge for yourself,I am sure you will not regret! As a close observer of my own life and others and as a doctor ,I have experienced, the best results have come when people have taken a desease, a loss,a betrayal, a defeat on their side,accepted the situation with grace, smile and positivity and felt how blessed they are inspite of the debacle!There are millions fighting worse battles we can never imagine!Only focus on your everyday 'karma' and victory is yours!Miracles really happen every morning. Think rightly, think positively, ethically, think everything happens for a reason ,keep walking...Eternal joy is the reward...

Spare A Moment, Spare A Thought.

Your life is precious than anything else you can imagine ever,more exhaustible than any other natural resource available on the Earth, but has potential beyond your expectations! Spend it rightly, spend it wisely!
We are tirelessly busy polishing our skin, shaping the mortal body,spending the precious life time collecting perishable paper notes and so called precious metals and properties. How rich is rich? How famous is famous? Do they matter at the end of our life? Tolstoy wrote 'How much land does a man need?". whose beautiful Hindi translation is being taught in school 'Akhri kitni zamin?"If we spend a fraction of our time to uplift our thoughts,polish our souls which have eternal values than spending entire life in futile search for a rich,successful life,then not only our lives,but the world around us will surely head for positive change.A point to ponder over,'can I eat more than my stomach capacity, can sleep in a larger space than my body dimensions,can I live a moment beyond what I am destined for? Then why not spend it simply, honestly, purposefully, wisely in true sense wherever you are, whatever you are doing.For this one is neither needed to be a rocket scientist, nor to have a million dollars or a villa in Paris.Just be simple,just be honest to yourself, just be thankful for every dawn,just be you. Who can be a better judge for you than yourself! You know the best. Live for your soul! A poet rightly said 'Kafan me na zeb hai,na kabra me aalmari,ye maut ke farishte bhi rishwat nahin lete'...Spare a moment, spare a thought...---
