Gautama..The Buddha ...realizing the true freedom...

What is the true meaning of ' freedom' ? Was the  very question which had  intrigued the prince of Kapilavastu, Gautam Siddhartha long long ago and realizing that  He became known as 'The Buddha'....the knower over centuries and centuries remained and remained as the founder of the core truth of life  !
What did He know ? Did He invent something astonishing, some miraculous fact or discovered something great... To my small little mind ,the answer is Yes and No....Yes for the reason he discovered the very truth, basic, grassroot fundamental principle of life which by and large every human being sees around,at times even goes through, but really does not see it as it actually is. People see, feel and interprets things as it soothes them or as they feel erroneously comfortable by the illusion. Gautama, The Buddha saw the the things, the facts as they actually are....and till date that is the greatest discovery for humanity be it in scientific, logical, spiritual or historical field. The answer is " No" for the simple reason, it is all there within ,it is there in each drop of water or each nano particles of dust. If someone wants to see, realize can easily do so. Buddha never said it was his monopoly or Gautama Siddhartha's birth right to become the enlightened one or the knower or Buddha, he says...it's the path which leads to the destination. You,me,she,he ...anyone can reach there provided we walk the path and we and we only have to walk our path ourselves.
Saying that let's see what did he mean freedom as or what did he free himself from or tried to free the world from. Gautam, surely a divine soul by birth was not interested in worldly pleasure and possessions which has been amply demonstrated in his life events. But the prime question troubled him was the cause of suffering of the world and he wanted to really understand, discover the root cause for the suffering of humanity and find the true and eternal solution to it. In childhood we all had read Buddha's teaching as " if there is no desire ,there will be no suffering"...But I am afraid any one of us actually understood what it really indicate leave aside feel through self realization... I know I didn't. So I presume whole lot of us didn't. But today I understand it slightly better and hope as life goes on it will be enriched further as the first step is the best step. What he meant avoiding a problem or solving it on the surface or fulfilling one desire or requirement or satisfying something is not going get us eternal peace and equanimity. In life by and large all of us  will have few types of situations...By our attitude and conduct we may do good or bad karma...So Buddha says that as " Sheela" means good conduct ...so let's do good conduct. Then he says " samadhi"  meaning concentration and means " samyak samadhi" means not only concentration or meditation but " samyak"  meaning for doing good. And third and the most important part is " pragnya" or " gyan" knowledge and he emphasises on self realized knowledge which is of the highest degree. He says through pragnya we all can try and realise constantly throughout life we are generating two distinct types of attractions. Either we are getting unduly attached to the things, people ,possessions etc what we like and that's just an illusion and we don't realize it's all perishable, momentary and changeable, mortal and the moment we lose any of that suffer immensely. We suffer not because someone or something is lost,we suffer because we are bound to our undue attachment and illusions . The other side is we develop terrible aversion continuously to the people, place, things which are not of our liking or choice and suffer from that illusion and actually it adds to suffering only. Even if one person or situation changes new one continuously crops up. So he realized, the key is to maintain equanimity understanding actually these all are transitory and we are suffering more and more because of our undue reaction out of undue attachment or aversion to people and situations. Freeing oneself from the cycle will free us from suffering eternally. Let's be more concern with eternal truths and principles rather being perturbed by Changing situations and people..... Let eternal peace and true freedom prevail for one and all...
